Man Sentenced to 12 Years for Carpinteria Stabbing
Daniel Esquivel, who pleaded in September to attempted murder with a great bodily injury enhancement and a misdemeanor street terrorism count, was sentenced on 11/5 to 12 years in state prison for a 2011 Carpinteria stabbing. Esquivel stabbed the victim while the two were riding in a car together with two others. Authorities are still looking for another suspect, Manuel Lopez.
