A big deal for the Goodland, Goleta’s first roundabout at Los Carneros Road and Calle Real opened 11/8 with a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by about three dozen city employees, law enforcement personnel, councilmembers, and area residents. The $1.5 million project took four months to finish — it was completed 18 days ahead of schedule — and was funded through a combination of Goleta Transportation Improvement Program (GTIP) funds and State and Local Partnership Program (SLPP) grand funds.
