This fundraiser will be held at the Butler Event Center, 3744 State St., Santa Barbara, from 7:00 – 11:00 pm.

Executive Director Claudia Bratton says, “This will be the opportunity to party like there’s no tomorrow, as it’s the end of the Mayan Calendar!.”

DJ Stephen J will open the evening with classic dance tunes. The eight-piece dance band, Area 51 will play everyone’s favorite funk, soul, R&B, Motown and disco tunes. A light buffet with food from some favorite Santa Barbara restaurants will be served with a no-host bar. A silent auction will be offered as a way to buy holiday gifts.

Tickets can be purchased through the Solstice Office by calling (805) 965-3396, or online here. Tickets are $45 per person and $80 per couple. The White Winter Ball fundraiser is being organized to help underwrite the cost of producing the 2013 Santa Barbara Summer Solstice Celebration, the free, thre day event and parade.

“Dress in White!” Bratton urged.

The Solstice Board of Directors has selected “Creatures” as the 2013 parade theme. From the early fliers and posters created by Michael Gonzales to a legion of artists in Santa Barbara, each year artists have vied for the privilege to have their design represent the Summer Solstice Celebration. The collection of artwork will be at the Solstice office on Friday, January 25, and will be exhibited for three weeks at the Sojourner Restaurant.
