Gift Baskets For the Needy Assembled By Local Association

The annual assembly event is enthusiastically embraced by ASC members as they don festive holiday attire including hats, sweaters, and scarves to stuff baskets in a well-oiled factory line.

The event will take place this Thursday, December 6 from 9am-10:30am at the Friendship Center, 89 Eucalyptus Lane in Montecito.

The Community Action Commission of Santa Barbara County will deliver the baskets in the coming weeks to seniors throughout the Santa Barbara area. The baskets will contain food items (for both diabetics and non-diabetics), toiletries (shampoo, lotion, etc.), candies, cookies, and household items (a silicone jar opener). A special treat for the seniors will be a handmade card decorated and signed by girls from Girls Inc.

ASC would like to thank the many people and companies in our community who generously donated items for this charitable project.

ASC is a group of senior services-related healthcare professionals who are interested in improving the life of seniors in Santa Barbara County. The group meets monthly and offers educational programs for its members along with networking opportunities.
