Bici Centro Reaches Fundraising Goal

Bici Centro has reached its fundraising goal of $40,000 to cover one year’s rent in its new digs on Haley Street. The popular “bike kitcken” — which offers Santa Barbara cyclists a venue for free DIY repairs — had operated out of La Casa de La Raza for the last five years but is expanding into a storefront next to Muddy Waters Café at 506 East Haley Street that’s three times the size. It’ll open January 9, and there will be a volunteer training day on January 8.
