TVSB Programming Among the Best in the Western States
Santa Barbara Community Media Receive 9 W.A.V.E. Awards for Excellence in Local Programming
The Western States Region of the Alliance for Community Media presented TV Santa Barbara with 9 Awards for Excellence in Local Programming at the 2013 W.A.V.E. Awards Ceremony in San Jose, CA.
TVSB’s coverage of Santa Barbara’s annual I Madonnari Festival received a regional first place award for Community Event Coverage in the Professional Division. As a media sponsor for the 2013 I Madonnari Festival, TV Santa Barbara’s Creative Services Team produced coverage of the event which was featured in their newsmagazine show, South Coast Spotlight, airing on TVSB Culture. TVSB also received a regional first place award for Documentary Event in the Community Producer Category for our coverage of the Sound and Fury Hardcore Music Festival. This highlight piece was produced by college students involved in TVSB’s Youth Media Program through our College Internships.
