lynda.com, an online learning company, announced today that it has joined LinkedIn’s Direct-to-Profile Certifications Pilot Program. The program lets lynda.com members easily post course completion certificates onto their LinkedIn Profiles.

“In a competitive employment market where job requirements change quickly, it’s important for professionals to showcase new skills to help advance their current careers or attract prospective employers,” said Eric Robison, CEO of lynda.com. “We’re very pleased to team with LinkedIn during the early stages of a program that recognizes people who, on their own initiative, learn through online platforms. We’re thrilled to give our members this first-of-a-kind opportunity to share their lynda.com accomplishments directly to their LinkedIn Profiles.”

The lynda.com library consists of more than 2,200 online video courses that provide skills-based training to 4 million members worldwide. Course topics range from software, business and design skills to web, photography and more. Members whose email address corresponds with their LinkedIn account will receive an email when they complete a course, inviting them to post their certificate of completion onto their LinkedIn Profile—with just one click. Adding certifications not only enhances a Profile, but also increases the chances that potential employers and recruiters will discover the Profile through a skills keyword search.
