Hotel Santa Barbara, located in the heart of downtown at 533 State Street, announces the completion of a much anticipated renovation of its seventy-five guestrooms. Redesigned with a host of sophisticated touches including local vintage photography from Santa Barbara Historical Museum’s Redmond Library, Keurig in-room coffee makers, sleep sofas with patented Tiffany 24/7 Platform Sleep Systems and Simmons’ famous Felicity Pillow Top beds, the renovation creates fresh urban retreats within a bustling downtown.

“Custom-designed carpet, paint and furniture in classic shades of platinum and amber have generated overwhelmingly positive guest feedback about our new décor, “says Nadine Turner, Director of Sales for Hotel Santa Barbara. “Our loyal clientele, including business and leisure travelers, are thrilled at the new amenities and stylish modern feel.” Guestroom details pay homage to Hotel Santa Barbara’s rich history including nail head trim, architectural fragments and a mixture of classic and modern shapes.

Local designer Becka Chester and her team from Hospitality Design Specialist, LLC and Planning Design & Application, and Nancy Nee of Hospitality Purchasing, Inc. joined General Contractor Comren, Inc., Modern Floors, Inc., Santa Barbara Painting, and Damon Gregory Millar of Maverick Window & Door. The renovation was unique as all furniture, fixtures and equipment, as well as renovation workers, entered the hotel through guest room windows using a scaffolding and lift system installed on the back of the hotel. The project took six weeks and finished three days ahead of schedule.

Guestrooms will be open for viewing at the December 5th First Thursday event which will also feature local art, holiday music and wine tasting by Riverbench Winery.
