Panera Bread bakery-cafes across Southern California are getting in the holiday spirit with new menu items to celebrate the season.

Beginning today, customers can order the new Fontina Grilled Cheese Sandwich, Chicken Tortellini Alfredo Pasta and Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Chip Marshmallows.

The new Fontina Grilled Cheese Sandwich features Vermont white cheddar, fontina cheese, a reduced-fat chive and onion cream cheese spread and an Italian four cheese blend. All melted to perfection on a thick, sliced all-natural white miche, a traditional French white bread.

Offered daily until December 31, the Chicken Tortellini Alfredo Pasta is a rich blend of ricotta, Swiss and Romano cheeses in Alfredo sauce, topped with smoked, pulled antibiotic-free chicken and Asiago-parmesan cheese. As a new addition to Panera Bread’s signature pastas, it is offered in a small or large serving size and comes with either a half cafe salad or cup of cafe soup.

The new, decadent Hot Chocolate with Chocolate Chip Marshmallows is made with premium dark chocolate, Madagascar Bourbon vanilla and steamed milk. It’s topped off with whipped cream, chocolate chip marshmallows and a drizzle of salted caramel sauce.

Festive menu additions including the Peppermint Mocha, Holiday Bread, Cranberry Walnut Bagel, Red Velvet Crinkle and Christmas Tree Cookies are returning favorites also back by popular demand for the holidays.

Just in time for gift-giving season, Panera is also offering a special promotion on their latest holiday themed gift cards. Customers who purchase $100 in gift cards or e-gift cards for the foodies on their holiday gift list will receive a $10 e-gift card for themselves.
