SBNC to open a new clinic site in Goleta
Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics has received a federal HRSA grant for the purpose of
opening a new clinic to serve the medically underserved population of Goleta, CA.
The site will be the first step in a two-year plan to establish a new comprehensive
neighborhood health clinic in the Goleta area. By the end of the two-year grant period, seven
providers will deliver comprehensive health services for an estimated 3,750 patients. The
clinic anticipates more than 13,000 medical, dental and behavioral health visits by the end
of 2015. The current site will be a temporary clinic during the development of a larger,
permanent site. “SBNC expansion is in line with our strategic plan and fills a service gap for
residents in the Goleta area” shared Trula Breuninger, CEO.
The mission of Santa Barbara Neighborhood Clinics (SBNC) is to provide high quality,
affordable medical and dental care to all people, especially those uninsured and otherwise
underserved, while maintaining a welcoming environment and treating patients with
compassion, dignity and respect. “We are extremely proud of our healthcare team and very
excited about bringing new availability of care closer to downtown Goleta” said Charles
Fenzi, CMO.
The Goleta Neighborhood Clinic office, located at 334 S. Patterson, Suite 203 in Goleta,
will officially open on May 1, 2014. The clinic’s low cost services include family medicine,
pediatric care, women’s health, cancer detection, diabetes, health testing, urgent care,
vaccinations, behavioral health and more. Appointments, which can be made at 805-617-
