Police Arrest ‘High-Level’ Drug Dealer
An Orange County man described by Santa Barbara police as a “high-level drug dealer” was arrested June 6 as he drove along Bath Street with his wife and two young children. David Vieyra, 31, was taken into custody on charges of possession of methamphetamine for sale, transportation of methamphetamine, and child endangerment. He’s being held on $100,000 bail.
According to police spokesperson Sgt. Riley Harwood, officers discovered a pound of meth in Vieyra’s car during his arrest, and he admitted to transporting the drugs from Los Angeles to Santa Barbara. A search of Vieyra’s Buena Park home turned up two more pounds of meth, Harwood said.
