Water, or the lack of it, underlies a UCSB-sponsored talk with Misty Williams, senior water resources analyst with the Goleta Water District, and Madeline Ward, acting water conservation coordinator for the City of Santa Barbara. The 7 p.m. lecture on Monday, July 14, at the Goleta library will cover the importance of water conservation and the critical state of California’s water supply during what has become Southern California’s worst drought since record-keeping began in the late 1800s. The public is invited to learn more about the current water crisis and what they can do to help.
