A brazen burglar is being sought by authorities after smashing the windows and stealing cash from two business in Solvang, one of which was hit twice in nine days.

On Friday, the Santa Barbara County Sheriff’s Office put out a request for assistance from anyone who may have information about the suspect who, at 2 a.m. on September 8, broke through the Greenhouse Café’s window to steal money from the register. The suspect repeated a similar strategy just after 4 a.m. on September 10 at Pebble People, where a door was smashed in and three jewelry cases snagged. Pebble People was hit again on September 19 at 3:30 a.m., with more jewelry stolen.

In each case, searches of the area by the Sheriff’s Office were unsuccessful. Anyone with information can leave an anonymous tip at (805) 681-4171.
