Body Found in Carpinteria Salt Marsh

Law enforcement and Search and Rescue personnel respond to the Carpinteria Salt Marsh where a body was found Saturday morning.

The body of a 60-year-old Carpinteria man was discovered Saturday morning in the Carpinteria Salt Marsh. A passerby found the deceased at approximately 10:30 a.m. and notified authorities. The man has been identified, but his name is being withheld until next of kin are notified. Sheriff’s officials said the identify will likely be released later today.
