Lompoc Cop Arrested for Domestic Abuse

Sheriff’s deputies arrested Matthew Lee Hill — a 29-year-old detective for the Lompoc Police Department — on Sunday afternoon after he reportedly assaulted his girlfriend at his home in Vandenberg Village. Neighbors called the Sheriff’s Lompoc substation about the alleged incident. Hill, who was off-duty at the time, was booked into Santa Barbara County Jail on a domestic violence charge; he was released after posting his $25,000 bail.
