3/20-3/21: College Baseball: Texas-Arlington at UCSB The Gauchos return home with a 13-5 record and a top-20 ranking on three national polls after going 4-2 on the road the past two weeks. Their pitching staff has posted a 2.16 earn-run-average (ERA) and five shutouts. Dillon Tate, the starter on Friday, boasts a 3-1 record and 1.00 ERA. But a season-ending injury suffered by ace reliever James Carter (five saves) is a blow to UCSB’s bullpen. UT-Arlington’s Mavericks are coming off three consecutive 30-win seasons.
