The Santa Barbara office of Keller Rohrback law firm, and all others who have filed class action complaints against Plains All American Pipeline for loss of livelihood after the May 19 Refugio Oil Spill, filed petitions Wednesday asking the court to consolidate the complaints, to appoint corporate firms Keller Rohrback and Lieff Cabraser as co-lead counsel, and to appoint attorney Barry Cappello of Santa Barbara law firm Cappello and Noël as lead trial counsel.

According to Matthew Preusch, local attorney at Keller Rohrback, Plains is not opposing the request. Preusch also said that to consolidate multiple cases like this is fairly common legal practice. The consolidated case would represent 11 individuals and all others similarly affected in addition to Richard Lilygren, on whose behalf Cappello filed a class action complaint against Plains on Monday.
