Voters have a chance to meet the contenders in the new City Council electoral districts at a forum on the Mesa set for Monday, September 21 at 7 p.m. The Mesa’s own District 2 candidates — incumbent Randy Rowse and rivals Luis Esparza and Kathleen Missy McSweeney-Zeitsoff – have been invited, according to the sponsoring organizations, Our Mesa Neighborhood Inc. (OMNI) and La Mesa Neighborhood Association.

Also invited are the Eastside’s Cruzito Herrera Cruz, Jason Dominguez, Jacqueline Inda, and Andria Martinez Cohen, standing for District 1, and the Westside District 3 candidates: incumbent Cathy Murillo and challengers Sharon Byrne and Cristina Cardoso. The forum is preceded by a one-hour reception and takes place at the Holy Cross Parish Hall, 1740 Cliff Drive.

Voters who live in Districts 1, 2, and 3 will be mailed ballots on October 5, which will come with postage-paid envelopes in which to return the marked ballot by November 3. The deadline to register to vote in this election is October 19. Details at SBCityVote.com.
