Solvang Woman Hit by SUV
Pedestrian Hit in Crosswalk at Mission Drive and Highway 246
Late Thursday morning, a 62-year-old Solvang woman was hit by a tan, four-door Denali SUV while crossing the street in the crosswalk at Mission Drive and Highway 246 in the city of Solvang.
The SUV was driven by a 42-year-old Santa Ynez woman who hit the pedestrian while turning left onto Mission Drive and Highway 246, heading southbound on Alamo Pintado Road.
The victim, in serious condition, was airlifted to a local hospital. The Sheriff’s Major Accident Response Team is investigating the incident.
