Yardi Systems started as a Santa Barbara software developer for property managers in 1984 and has grown its product to span the real estate investment and asset management world, employing more than 5,000 people in 35 worldwide locations. Despite its size and far-flung operations, CEO Anant Yardi continues to enjoy the favor of his employees, earning a 94 percent in the Glassdoor CEO Rating list. Employees listed perks like vacation condos, profit-sharing, and social events as among the most favored, as well as the “nice” work culture. Among the cons were unhappy comments about moving up the management ladder, either concerns about other people’s techniques or the lack of opportunities.

Glassdoor, a job recruitment website, placed Yardi at number 32 in the Employees’ Choice Awards. Number one was the Clorox Company’s Benno Dorer. United Airlines’ Oscar Munoz came in at number 18 with a 96 percent approval rating by employees.
