With resources from Cottage Health System and know-how from CSU Channel Islands, 22 future nurses started earning their bachelor’s degrees in January. The classes for the first nursing bachelor’s program in Santa Barbara County are taught in a building next to Cottage’s Goleta hospital where a grand opening will be held on 3/29. The first class — which had 150 applicants — will graduate in May 2014.
