Bishop Defeated by Santa Clara

Santa Clara High School defeated the Bishop Garcia Diego Cardinals 20-14 in an overtime thriller on 12/8 at Moorpark College, taking them out of contention for the CIF Mid-Valley Division football championship. Santa Clara’s star player, Cierre Wood-lauded by Sports Illustrated as the top running back of the class of 2009-was held at bay by Bishop’s valiant efforts, not scoring until the end of the game.
