SB Bank & Trust Opens Boys & Girls Club Saturdays

A ribbon-cutting on 12/8 at the Boys and Girls Club located on the city’s east side celebrated the fact that it will now be open on Saturdays for the next year, thanks to a donation from Santa Barbara Bank & Trust. The club, which hasn’t been open on weekends for the past five years, will also stay open an extra hour on weekdays, until 7 p.m. beginning the second week in January. Meanwhile, the Westside Boys and Girls Club, though it is open until 9 p.m. on Friday and until 8 p.m. other weeknights, still lacks funding to open on weekends.
