Having a job and having health insurance are slowly but surely becoming less related to each other in California, says a November study from the California HealthCare Foundation (CHCF). The report found that in 2000, 20.9 percent of employed Californians were uninsured, but in 2006, that percentage jumped to 22.8 percent. A third of the uninsured state residents were from families making more than $50,000 a year. For more info, visit chcf.org.
