MOVIN’ ON UP

It recently was announced that Los Olivos’s Wildling Art Museum will move locations this January. Currently situated in the historic Keenan-Hartley House (2329 Jonata St.), the museum will relocate to 2928 San Marcos Avenue throughout the close of December. Museum reps plan to host a soft open of the new space in mid January, with the museum reopening to the public by Sunday, February 8. Visit wildlingmuseum.org for more info.

GRANTING WISHES

Last month, the William T. Colville Foundation doled out its annual grants to seven Santa Barbara artists. The awards, totaling $14,000 in funding, were given to a range of artists to support their individual artistic endeavors. Colville, a longtime painter and supporter of the arts, lived his life in Santa Barbara and Montecito. For more on the foundation and the grant program, call 560-0891 or visit colvilleart.org.

ILL COMMUNICATION

Starting Thursday, January 8, Santa Barbara resident and artist Dave Flores will have his work hung as part of a Los Angeles-based exhibition titled Under the Influence: An Official Tribute to Beastie Boys. The collection, compiled from participating artists located all over the U.S., will hang at Gallery 1988 (7020 Melrose Ave., Los Angeles) through January 29.
