UCSB has rebounded from its longest slump of the baseball season with three consecutive victories and will be going for a sweep of the Pacific Tigers Sunday (April 5) at Caesar Uyesaka Stadium. Gauchos ace Mike Ford will take the mound for the first pitch at 1 p.m.

After dropping two Big West games at Cal State Northridge last weekend and a nonconference game against San Diego State, the Gauchos turned around to whip the Aztecs, 15-7, and they dealt a pair of nines in 9-8 and 9-6 wins over Pacific.

UCSB is 17-8 overall and 3-2 in the Big West entering Sunday’s game.

High school teams return to action this week after most of them took a spring break. Among the top games is Tuesday’s showdown at Santa Barbara High‘s Eddie Mathews Field between the San Marcos Royals and the host Dons.
