STRFKR Announce 2012 US Tour Dates

Now with 2012 just right around the corner, the band is kicking off the new year early by announcing their 2012 US tour dates.

To tie you over until then, on Oct. 11 the band will release a much-anticipated split 7″ with Seattle hip-hop group, Champagne Champagne. Listen to a sample track, “Dragon Queens,” on SoundCloud.

For those who still can’t seem to get enough, STRFKR have also shared three “Julius” remixes by which are available as a digital release and can be downloaded on iTunes.

The band’s latest album, Reptilians, was met with much critical acclaim and with the help of Joshua Cox, STRFKR debuted the music video for their single, “Bury Us Alive,” on Filter. The dance-inducing clip will alter your mind (in a good way) and if you haven’t already, you should check out the video on Filter.

In other STRFKR news, on Nov. 8, Polyvinyl Records will release Jupiter for the first time in Europe. The eight song EP, which includes the fan favorite cover of Cyndi Lauper’s “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” has been entirely re-mastered and will feature three extra songs as well as brand new album art. In support of the re-release, the guys will also be embarking on a European tour starting in November and then treating us to some US shows in early 2012.
