Katy Perry: Video Premiere

Global pop superstar Katy Perry will make a very special exclusive appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show on November 11th to debut and discuss the video for her current single about lost love, “The One That Got Away.” The video was directed by film and video director Floria Sigismondi (The Runaways), who also directed Katy’s MTV Video Music Award-winning clip for “E.T.” Watch a teaser trailer for the video below.

Directly following Katy’s appearance on DeGeneres’ show, the video for “The One That Got Away” will be available for viewing on www.ellentv.com, as well as on VEVO at 4 p.m. ET.

In addition on 11/11/11, a seven-minute extended version of “The One That Got Away” will be shown exclusively at select advance screenings of the motion picture My Week With Marilyn, starring Michelle Williams, which opens in theaters on November 23rd. The sixth single to be released from Katy’s newly double-platinum certified second album Teenage Dream, “The One That Got Away” is currently Top 20 and ascending at Pop radio. The album’s previous five singles — “California Gurls,” “Teenage Dream,” “Firework,” “E.T.,” and “Last Friday Night (T.G.I.F.)” — all peaked at No. 1 on the Billboard Pop Songs chart as well as on the Hot 100 chart. Katy is only the second artist, and the first female, to notch five No. 1’s in the Hot 100’s 53-year history.

Katy has wrapped the early fall leg of her sold-out California Dreams World Tour that began earlier this year with stops in Europe, Australia, New Zealand and Japan. Her remaining U.S. tour dates, with support from Ellie Goulding and DJ Skeet Skeet, are as follows:
