CrossFit Pacific Coast Finds a New Home
One of those affiliated gyms, CrossFit Pacific Coast, has experienced similar growth since opening their doors in June of 2009. Santa Barbara’s largest CrossFit affiliate now boasts over 140 members and will be moving into a brand new location at 220 East Cota to accommodate their steady growth. Their new home will be ready to open at the beginning of March, and will feature over 3,000 square feet, a shower and changing room, front desk, merchandise stand, and three times the available workout space. In addition to CrossFit classes, CPC members will have access to Yoga, Mobility classes, Private training, Youth classes, and a CrossFit/Yoga combination called Heaven & Hell. This larger location will allow owners Eric Malzone and Traver Boehm to expand their membership, and provide more room to train teams, and hold nutrition and fitness seminars. Owner Eric Malzone said “We couldn’t be happier about our new location. All the extra space will allow us to offer new options, and provide an even better experience for our members.”
Eric Malzone and Traver Boehm were friends and college water polo teammates before coming together to open CrossFit Pacific Coast in June of 2009. They are currently located at 209 Anacapa street, have over 140 members, and employ six crossfit certified coaches. These coaches are dedicated to helping members achieve elite fitness through community support, teamwork, and implementation of the CrossFit system. By offering private training, seminars, and a variety of other classes, CrossFit Pacific Coast has created a welcoming and extremely effective work out environment for every demographic.
