Drug-Sniffing Dogs Coming Soon to a School near You
District to Hold Public Demonstrations
It’s official: Contraband-detecting dogs will pay 30 visits to Santa Barbara’s secondary schools next year according to a contract the district signed with Interquest Detection Canines. If you have children in Santa Barbara Unified and would like to know exactly how the searches will affect them or if you are merely an interested community member, Interquest is providing three public demonstrations at the following times and locations:
Thursday, May 17, 6:30 p.m.: San Marcos High School, cafeteria.
Monday, May 21, 6:30 p.m.: Santa Barbara High School theater.
Thursday, May 24, 6:30 p.m.: Dos Pueblos High School, cafeteria.
