Superintendent David Cash updated School Board trustees on his Strategic Plan at this week’s school board meeting. Amid changes in education across the state, Cash’s list of accomplishments included implementation of Professional Learning Communities, new human resource recruitment and hiring practices for staff, and the Professional Learning Plan. Among a number of items that are still works in progress were the Visual and Performing Arts Plan, better assessment of student progress per state regulations (Local Control Accountability Plan), and expanded surveys to measure school climate.
