Weather permitting, the Highway 101’s Fairview Avenue onramp will reopen on Wednesday at 10 p.m. after being closed for six months as part of the Goleta Drainage Project, which will improve two drainage culverts along Las Vegas Creek and San Pedro Creek.

The $16.6 million project — a partnership between Caltrans and the county’s flood control district — will prevent flooding north of Calle Real and the highway. The project is expected to be completed in 2017.
