Nyet To Trump and Putin!

Donald Trump claims Vladimir Putin is a great leader because of his popularity amongst the Russian people. He says nothing about how Putin controls all the media in his country as well as effectively silences all his opponents. Trump also touts how he thinks Putin is outsmarting our leadership in the Syria, without uttering any concern about civilian casualties Russian bombardments are inflicting. On top of these interesting praises of Putin, Trump plays right into Putin’s hands by claiming climate change is a hoax.

This October Russian specialized army land brigades held coordinated military maneuvers with Russia’s Northern Fleet in the Arctic region. As declared by Russian President Putin, the objective of these maneuvers was to prepare his military to protect Russia’s interests in the Arctic Ocean. Clearly, Putin and military leaders in Russia see the Arctic Ocean, and the resources under it, as having a changing geopolitical value in the face of today’s climate change realities. Indeed, in 2007 Russia planted a flag at the North Pole under Arctic ice sheets, which have since shrunk immensely.

How can we Americans rationally think of electing a Commander in Chief who thinks climate change is a hoax!? Our military scientist know the Arctic Ocean and its expanding ice free shoreline will require our Navy and Coast Guard’s presence as a matter of national security!

If I were prone to conspiracy theories I would see more evidence of a conspiracy, than exists in any of the many that Trump has promoted! After all, who does Russia’s Putin support in this election? But I am not into conspiracy theories, and realize I must simply vote against Trump and let my vote be counted in the most trusted and democratic electoral system amongst all major countries in history!
